Brad was born in Rockhampton, raised in the central west and completed secondary education at the Rockhampton Grammar School.
Following two years full time university, Brad joined the firm in 1978 to complete his articles of clerkship whilst at the same time studying to finalise his law degree.
Brad offers practical legal advice to a diverse business sector based on his wealth of experience and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

In particular he has been involved in major transactions involving banking and finance, business structuring and in agribusiness. He also has developed a significant client base in the hospitality, hotel and accommodation industries.
Brad is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rockhampton Grammar School. He has previously been a non-executive Director of The Rock Building Society Ltd and chairman of its Credit Committee. As well, Brad has undertaken a number of advisory positions for clients and community associations.
Apart from his family, Brad’s other interests are fishing and boating (law is on something to do in between fishing trips) and following the cricket. As a Jimmy Buffett fan, he enjoys a relaxed lifestyle away from the office.
