Ben was raised in Rockhampton and completed his secondary studies at the Rockhampton Grammar School. Following school, Ben studied law at the Queensland University of Technology whilst residing at St John’s College, St Lucia.
After completing his Bachelor of Laws, Ben worked for Ernst & Young in Poland for two years and then spent six months pulling pints of Guinness in Poland’s first Irish pub. Ben then worked for an IT Reseller in London where he was the national sales manager for six years.
In 2003 Ben joined the firm and completed his Articles of Clerkship before being admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2005. In 2010, whilst practicing law, Ben attained a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Taxation from the University of New South Wales. Ben offers timely and practical advice to his clients who include business, rural, private (individual) clients, not-for-profit organizations, and statutory bodies.

He is married with four children – none of whom listen to his advice. He enjoys keeping fit, snow skiing and watching cricket when time permits.
