Sharon Sorbello

Sharon joined South Geldard Lawyers in 2025.

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2019.

Before practising law, Sharon worked as an environmental engineer for local government and private practice, where she gained valuable technical expertise in contaminated land, water quality, flood modelling, environmental assessment and major infrastructure projects. This technical grounding enhances her ability to advise on matters requiring both legal insight and scientific or engineering understanding.

Prior to joining South Geldard, Sharon worked as a commercial lawyer in a Brisbane-based firm, gaining experience in:

• insolvency and statutory demand matters;
• compulsory acquisition and compensation claims;
• contract drafting;
• debt recovery and enforcement proceedings;
• defamation and trademark infringement disputes; and
• directors’ disputes.

Originally from North Queensland, Sharon enjoys balancing her professional work with time outdoors, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
